Helloooo from Clackamas/Damascus
Hi everyone! I've been a lurker on the website for awhile and have used the website's great DIY posts to get acquainted with my S2K - especially the post for new S2000 Owners.
I've longed for an S2000 every since I saw Johnny Tran hit that NOS and say "Too Soon Junior" in F&F. I bought my S2000 in October 2014 from the Clackamas CarMax with 45,000 miles and sad to say that I've only put on 3,000 miles since then My dad went with me to CarMax and I drove the car from the lot to the Lowes' across the street and my dad taught me how to drive a manual transmission right there! I've been riding a motorcycle (Ninja 250) since 18 so I was familiar with the clutch and just had to switch from using my left hand to my left foot
I'm currently working on finishing the maintenance items discussed in the New S2K Owners post and looking to change my differential/transmission fluid sometime this month; I changed the engine oil for the first time in October. Next, I would like to replace the brake pads as they're squeaking quite a bit. Unlike the guys in F&F, I like to keep things OEM and as close to stock as possible therefore I don't think I'll be putting on any after market parts. However, I am planning on plasti-dipping the car to protect the OEM paint and to spice things up.
Looking forward to meeting you all and joining in on some of the rides this spring/summer!
