Default Steering Wheel Splines

The S2000 i bought had an aftermarket steering wheel on it.

I bought an OEM one to put on and I don't know if this is lined up properly.

When I seat the wheel down, there seems to be a 1/4" gap between the top of the steering wheel splines and the top of the linkage splines.

Is that normal?

put the bolt on there and tighten it down slowly (to 29 ft lbs). I put a bit of anti-sieze on the threads to make it easier to remove in the future, not totally necessary though.

You'll probably find that your estimate of straight isn't 100% straight when you get it out and drive down the road, so you may need to reset the wheel or get an alignment.

I checked that 10 times, I even put paint on the wheel spindle cut out, and the paint landed on the white plastic cut out perfect.

Just seemed odd with the 1/4" gap.

That gap should be normal. Noticed that when I was swapping my wheel too.

it will be flush by the time you tighten it down. You can test it out by tightening down the bolt and then removing the bolt and you will see that the gap has closed up. The fitment is slightly tight so it doesn't fully seat until bolted down.
