I never had much success with the Griots product, I like the Sonax wheel cleaner for stubborn brake dust and sintered on metal particles.

have you tried their wheel cleaner? how do you typically clean your wheels? spray then rinse?

I only use this wheel cleaner before applying wheel protectant or before selling any set of wheels. I had a set of powder coated bronze konig helium wheels and although I washed them almost weekly on the car I couldn't believe how how "new" they looked when I did a full proper cleaning. Griot's cleaner pretty much shows you the contamination running off the rims and if the spray rinses off clear you have a pretty clean rim.

I have and Griots didn't remove imbedded metal fragments from the inner barrels of the wheels for me. Plus it always seemed to leave a film behind even after rinsing. I use wheel woolies to agitate the loosened brake material after spraying the wheels as depicted in the attached video.

I have been using griots and sonax for years. Sonax is better IMO.
But I want to know how either effects the Volk anodized coating. I have a set on order so I want to keep them FRESH.

Both sonax and griots worked great on my standard colored Volks. Across 3 different sets nothing but positive results.
