Default S2K Specialist in the North East

Bought my first S2K last month and apart from Honda dealers and crazy prices (just for an oil and filter change !) decided to look for independents in the Midlands with limited success - as have friends and family in the North East and spend a lot of time up there decided to look in the area and glad I did.

Came across Redline Automotive in Newcastle upon Tyne - contact Dave on 0191 221 2922 - he looks after a few S2K's and now he can add mine to his "stable" - spot on job , had full service including all filters and all oils plus coolant and brake fluid as well as new pads and had my discs skimmed by his Procut machine - WOW ! - what a difference on the drive back home. I also specified Goodridge braided hoses and the feel of the brakes is fantastic. He can supply OEM parts or you can supply your own and he will fit - labour reasonable at £40.00 plus vat per hour. So all you S2K owners in Yorkshire and the North East and even further afield give Dave a call.

Extremely happy with my find !

Nice one UK Paul ,

I debated with Dave as to what oil as previous owner was not sure - Dave contacted Opie oils and they suggested a range of fully synthetic 5/40 oil and we went for Mobil 3000 in the end and due to the carbon internals got the transmission fluid from Honda as well as the diff oil too. Am due a visit again soon to fit lower suspense arms and upgrade the front dampers to Konis to match the ones at the back that were fitted by the previous owner just before I bought it.

Spread the word !

Hi mate , next time you go to Redline ask him about Procut for your existing discs - a light skim (with the discs still in place)to give a perfect face , new Brembo pads , Goodridge stainless steel braided hoses and new brake fluid - your brakes will be transformed on a budget ! Apparently Porsche dealers use this machine as replacement discs so expense however true benefit is that discs are skimmed in place still rotating on their hubs so once skimmed disc face will be 100 % perfect match to the new pad so 100 % contact between disc face and pad.

The progressive feel to my brakes now is awesome - try it out.

You must be an old fart (from another). Is that for full year coverage or just 6 mo? Can't get close to that in Canada. Good job on the tranny and diff fluids - Honda is recommended and I wouldn't stray from that going forward.
