Rear BBK option?
Hey guys, I came across this company that have come up with a rear brake kit to compliment our front bbk kits. Look forward to hearing your views on it?

Urge also do a vented kit that uses the (modified) OE calliper:

Not as big, but is only US$700 and doesn't require the purchase of the RX8 callipers. Has the benefit of working fine with the OE front brakes as well, as just improves the brake cooling problems of the OE solid discs.

Rear Pad Management
- When installing 2 new pads, each pad needs 2mm shaved off
- OR 1 new pad can be installed with a partially used pad, continue swapping pads to maximize use across both sets of pads

I really like the Hi-spec ones but after reading some reviews that the handbrake mechanism doesn't preform very well which kinda put me off.... The snakebomb rear bbk uses the rx8 caliper so we get OE quality which are dirt cheap to buy / there's no shaving pads down / there's no need to get the caliper modified unlike the urge one and bigger disc.
I have the brembo bbk that I assume was made with the standard rear brakes in mind? So do we think this kit would compliment ( my brakes for example) or mess the whole bias up?

Weve put a great deal of engineering and testing into the RX8 rear brake conversion kit and were astounded it took this long for a proper rear kit to surface. We did this out of necessity on our track car, not to sell a product (just as a footnote to all of this). We've found this to be absolutely bulletproof on the street, on track, and they can be used every day on the steepest hills, with no difference vs stock. The best part is the RX8 calipers are fantastically cheap on ebay, and even rebuilt or new units are very very affordable. We went really far out of our way to make this a great bang for buck kit, and are keeping replacement rings in stock for under $100 each (not that you'll need to replace them often, as they're a full 20mm thick and run very cool). Lastly the S2000 pad is tiny compared to the RX8 pad... they're cheap and last a long time. It's win win win with the RX8 caliper kit.

Very interesting. What is the piston surface area difference between the S2000 and RX8? Ie, will the hydraulic 'leverage' change, therefore force on the rotor, therefore brake balance? And then, how is the braking force affected by the increased pad size?
