Occasional gear blocking and weird grind sound from transmission in nuetral
Hey guys, after I bought my ap1 I noticed getting it into reverse was a pain in the ass. It still is, but I had no problems shifting or it taking gears even at high rpms. Fast forward 10k miles and now whenever I power shift (7k+ rpm) I feel a grind when going into certain gears, mostly 2nd and 5th, but it happens with other gears as well. It's not 100% reproducible, sometimes it works, other times I look like an ass missing a shift. My buddy who works on my car pointed out a weird grinding sound when the car is in nuetral, it's not very loud, but its noticable and it seems like it's getting worse. Last night we changed the transmission fluid and it did little to nothing for my issue, the sound is still there as well. I have a video of the sound attached to this thread, if there's anyone who can diagnose this I would greatly appreciate it... I'm about to shop for a new transmission if it's anything serious.
BTW when the clutch is engaged (I put the clutch pedal to the floor as if i was shifting) the sound completely disappears. Also, sometimes entering gears are choppy as if the synchro isn't matching the revolutions correctly, but I've only ever heard a grind once.

Have you changed clutch master cylinder fluid & bleed the line?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Maybe the rubber gaiter on the clutch slave cylinder?
