Default Long road trip with tall passenger - advice please

Hi,

Need some advice please -

This summer I've got an awesome hols/road trip to Slovenia. I'm driving to Amsterdam where I'll be picking up a friend and then driving in convoy to Munich and then onto Slovenia. Problem is the friend is 191cm (6'3"). I kind of want to take the S2000 on this trip but is this going to be too uncomfortable for him? My other consideration was the road noise. Is it going to be unsociable?

As the perfect height for a human being (5'8") I find it hard to relate to the issues that freakishly tall people may have. He says as long as he has leg room and stops he'll be fine..

My other car is a VW Polo which I definitely do not want to take. Which means having to borrow a car (I've access to a Saab 9-5) or upgrading the Polo - I do really really want a 5-Series haha.

Thanks for any input. I would actually genuinely be interested in any thoughts regarding buying high mileage BMW 535d too if anyone has any

Take the S! The wife and I did about 1000miles recently on trip a to Scotland and we found it surprisingly comfortable and not overly loud top up or top down (my S is oem) so my advice.... Do it!

Thanks - Yes I've done Scotland a few times, Newcastle and Amsterdam from Cornwall (all long trips) by myself in the S. I'm not worried about myself. I do now wonder if I'm overthinking it

Take the S2000 - I'm a "freakishly tall" 6'3" and not had any problems. Roof down action is so much better for the scenery too !

I nipped into Slovenia a couple years ago when over that way in the S, the roads and scenery are incredible.

Take the S. You will be halfway across Europe and regretting every mile if you take anything else.

Don't forget to report back here with pics of the journey.

That "look" is unavoidable but it's like riding a moped or having sex - loads of fun but you'd prefer nobody saw you doing it
