2010 civic si coupe
A few runs on the way home from 2nd gear, 3rd and dig runs. Pulled easily all three times. Prob put 3 car lengths or more from a dig up to middle of 3rd run. Si owner said his car was all stock minus the exhaust. Even rolling starts i would begin to pull immediately. Mods on my car include tp, 3" challenge exhaust and flashpro. I always thought k series were faster than our cars...

Ran a 2014 si. Yep same story, no way that si was pulling me. Pulled him right away 3-4 times at 40mph and 60mph no problem. If those si have full bolts ons and kpro, that might be another story. I also expected alot more from them. Those engines keep getting bigger with more torque as the years go on. Does anyone know which is faster stock for stock? A 06-11 si 2.0 or the newer 12+ 2.4?

I have heard this thrown around the forum sooooooooooo many times. Stock for stock, these civics weigh slightly more(not really significant, sedans only weigh about 150 lbs more) but put down less power. how so many people on this forum have ended up believing that a Civic SI is faster than an s2000 is beyond me.
standing quarter mile on the K series SI and up is like almost a whole second slower than the s2000. Unless you are missing a cylinder, start at a higher gear, or some other crazy thing, there is no reason to be surprised that a civic si is slower than an s2000(stock vs stock).

With that in mind I raced an 8th gen in my 9th gen from a 30/40 roll and were near neck n neck; I may have nosed him. On paper they are near the same and nothing has really changed in any years of the 9th other than a minimal increase in power as well as added weight.
Because of the 9th gens lower powerband and gearing it may get the jump on an ap1 from a dig but won't get very far. 8th gen is a similar powerband to the s2k but slower. The s2k is considerably faster than any stock Si
