I currently running a 3in tp and 3 in exhaust. Ill throw back the stock exhaust before inspection.
So for sure its just safety inspection correct?

Ah OK. But FYI, there is one clause of the "Exemptions for MA Emissions Inspections" section from the link I shared earlier that is odd (seems to contradict the fact that after 15 years they don't look at OBD readiness codes):
"Passenger vehicles (cars, trucks, SUVs) manufactured before 2002 do not get a tailpipe emissions test, but must undergo the OBD test, if applicable."
Not clear to me what they mean by "if applicable"... could they mean: if the car has/had a functioning OBD2?
I only just saw this yesterday.. it is a bit concerning for me. Since I'm banking on _not_ needing OBD to work on my 2002 in 2017 -- because I've switched to a standalone ECU (AEM infinity).
