Default Soft top installers?

I have a 2001 AP1 in need of a new top - any recommendations for good installers who will deal with aftermarket tops? I can't afford oem top.

My recommendation is to buy the tools and do it your self. Its not difficult just time consuming. labor will be in the 500-700 area from what ive seen from others.

There is a shop off Barker Cypress, I don't remember the name. but there was a few members who used that shop.

If I ever had to do this, I feel like I would just ditch the soft top and put a CR cowl in there instead...especially if you already have a hard top.

You know, I really wanted a CR cowl, they look so amazing. I just cant fork the money for it.

Plus on Silver it would look like to much silver IMO. Its another reason I didn't go with CR wing. Because I would have two toned the CR wing Black/Silver to give it a more aggressive look.
I think Honda did great choosing the colors for the CR.

Ant, I think you and I are the only ones chatting on here! haha!

The DIY approach is interesting and now that it's not my primary ride I may just do that - in October when it's not 110 in my garage.

What's the hardest part of the DIY?

It doesn't look hard, imo it's just the amount of time it takes. BUT, if it's not your DD and you can work on it in a garage I don't think that you'll have issues. It helps that it's a pretty good DIY with pictures.

LOL I know right...

Surely there are aftermarket versions....and in carbon or even just painted all black I think it would look awesome in our Silverstones

Just checked...about same price as factory...yeah...$1500 is more than replacing soft top after all...lol

I actually think it's not a bad look with silver. Having the retractable soft top is a lot more practical and convenient IMO, though.
