Default Alignment for fast road

Hey guys, got my first s2000 (02 model) last week and absolutely loving it but I wanted to get the alignment done as it a slightly out and to make the car a little less twitchy, and I wanted advice from you guys on UK roads.

My previous car was a Honda Civic fd2 and I loved being able to push it hard, obviously this is a totally different car.
I'm running 17" rota fighters (staggered) hks 20m springs. I believe the car maybe polybushed as well.
Does the front and rear have adjuster for toe and camber already?

Front camber -1.5 degrees
Front toe 0
Rear camber -2 degrees
Rear toe 0.10 each side
Thoughts?

The settings shown in the FAQ are a good starting point.

See this post: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/301...st__p__5798519

You probably want a little less camber than you've specified.
1[sup]o[/sup] front
1[sup]o[/sup] 45' rear
And I'd advise at least 15' each side of rear toe, maybe more.

Thanks for the faq, seems like a good place to check anything out.

Ok that sounds good, just want some more stability at speed and cornering

Cheers

My advice, don't have a too aggressive set up if you are a new owner, start slightly conservative (bit less camber and bit more rear toe) and then after a couple of years if you wish to do so you can then go a bit more camber and less rear toe. That's what I did anyway.

The rear end is going to be VERY loose.

If I were you, I'd start at 20 minutes per side on the rear toe.

The earlier cars are more tail-happy than the later cars. There seem to be frequent posts here regarding accelerating out of round-abouts and the car swapping ends and ending up in a ditch or on a guard rail. Since it couldn't be too much speed or inexperience the cause is listed as diesel spills.

Tagging on to this thread, looking to get my geo done for a fast road and occasional track.

Any experience on a good starting position?
My thoughts were to use OEM +1deg on camber front and rear, with OEM toe all round.
Car is lowered on coilovers (Meister R), will be getting mugen compliance and front bush fitted along with '99 JDM front ARB.

My previous geo was done at OEM + .30', but not sure how much it could be trusted as car felt a bit skittish. Not that well planted. Have since found out my front Geo bolts are seized, so in the process of having them replaced.
