I'm going to be putting together another Route 26 drive this year. Hopefully we will get to see some fall foliage on this drive.


We will meet at the Salt Fork State part Lodge and Conference Center. saltforkstateparklodge.com


At 10 AM we will leave the conference center and head to Marietta. This will take around 2 hours.

Route 26 (120 miles ~2-3 hours) After gathering we will proceed back east on 22 and pick up 800 south. We will follow 800 south to I-70 east for one exit. We will pick up 40 east to Morristown for a short bit and hit 26 south from there. Route 26 will take us into downtown Woodsfield. We can stop for a break there and then continue south on Route 26 to Marietta.<br style="color: rgb(28, 40, 55); font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px;">
In Marietta we will grab lunch.

After lunch you are free to head where ever. Some went home after a good drive. Some went and did 555. Based on last year, 555 is not something I'm comfortable leading as a group drive. If interested I will lead us back up Route 26 to I-70.

Rt555, with the exception of a couple places where it is down to one lane for construction, is in pretty good shape. We drove it from Zanesville to the river in June.

Rt26 is in good condition, again with a couple of one lane areas due to construction.

You are free to do what you want after lunch. I've done 555. There are too many blind crests/curves for me to feel comfortable on my own, let alone leading a group drive.
