Default Help Needed Near Stelvio Pass

I broke down in the Stelvio Pass tonight. Going up around a hairpin I heard a bang and grinding. I hear grinding when letting off the clutch in any gear. The car was immobile. I think the rear differential has broken. The car was towed to Levigno near where I'm staying currently in Bormio, Italy. I need a diff preferably quickly. Is this possible? Nearest honda dealer is 70 km away. Appreciate any help or information you guys have.

I live near to Chiusa, Italy which is somewhat close to where you broke down.

If it's the Differential, you will likely have to wait a few days. There is however a guy who only works on S2000s in Imola who maybe can ship you the parts. However I don't really know if he speaks english, probably he does though.

Send me a PN and I will give you his phone number. He may even be able to identify if it's the diff or not.

Thanks kut. The car is at a Honda dealer in Sondrio. They open on Monday so I have to wait to confirm exactly what it is even though I'm sure it's the diff. Marco from GRi Performance in Rome has offered to ship me a diff overnight if I need it. I'll PM you for a backup contact. I can't have too much help.

Hairpin + S2K + Good grip usually sounds is a driveshaft.

I was just thinking about the Stelvio Pass, my wife and I did European Delivery on our BMW 435i 3 years ago. Met an S2000 and his owner at the peak. OP, good luck getting it sorted.

We still think about the roads over there. We did drove Splugen Pass too.
