They did such a good job on my 16"s that they got the jobn on my new V2 17" wheels.

I did mine in power coating in a nice black colour.
It was £60 a wheel (including VAT) - although they always quote minus the VAT.

I've never seen see through powder yet for powder coat?!
Normal clear coat won't stick properly because the diamond cut surface is too smooth

The 'too smooth' thing might still be an issue, but less so than with flaky wet paint.

Cheers for the replies, does anyone have anywhere in Leeds / West Yorkshire they would recommend? I was looking at MSS in Morley got a good review on a pistonheads forum.

This is a similar thing to what I was on about...

You can see the diamond turn on the flat surface with a darker paint finish to the inner spokes.

I've had several sets powdercoated (5Zigen, Work, OEM Enkei EP3 wheels...) and never had any issues.
A lot more durable compared to regular paint as said before. I also just cleaned up my Work Meisters after a few months in storage and the brake dust came off without leaving any marks at all, both inside and outside of the wheels.
As long as they are prepped well and the wheels aren't forged you should be fine.

I think the standard facelift wheels really do look quite good when they're dark.
I never felt the need to change mine after I'd made them black, even though it was just plastidip

I should've done like you and kept it!
