Great Jeremy Clarkson TV episode on the Morgan highlights the open road, open roof, side curtains way of thinking. Getting cold and wet seems to be part of the real sports car experience. The S2000 is a poser or wannabe. Roof goes up in 6 seconds!

Of course the S2000 [is] [is not] a sports car. Choose which you like. The important definition probably lies with your insurance company.

And besides, you forgot to specify it has to have a manual choke.

Darn, I left off the requirement for a Lucas generator (positive ground 6 volts, please), condenser and points, engine driven fuel pump, and SU carburetors. What else did we leave out other than the roof and side curtains need to have large gaps between them so occupants get soaked regardless and the wooden floor and wool carpet will rot? Oh yeah wire spoke wheels that are never true no matter how many times they're adjusted. Oil leaks hardly need to be mentioned.

Geez, I'm getting nostalgic over the real sports cars I couldn't wait to get rid of!

Real sports cars have no electric starter. External or hand-crank only.
