Go on then - where is the fuse?

In response to Tim and any others who are not sure where the fuse is, there are actually 5 of them. 2 x 20A, 2 x 3A and 1 x10A.
Look under the dash on the drivers right side and you will see a fuse panel, it's not this. You will also see a large cable coming from the key ignition switch. Half way down this cable a number of wires will come out of the loom. Follow these upwards and near the top of the fuse panel and in front of it you will find a rectangular block with 5 fuses and a relay attached to it. The fuses are under individual plastic covers, and in my car a 01, it goes relay, 20A. 20A, 3A, 10A,3A. The fuse concerned was the middle 3A.

isnt the immobiliser separate to the alarm? the alarm is aftermarket but the green key light isnt
The immobiliser is built into the ECU .... therefore if you swap to an aftermarket ECU (Mugen, Spoon etc) it can be bypassed.

It can be bypassed or it is?
If its in the ECU and you swap surely its gone?

Genuinely confused by this

I once had an issue with my Honda Dealer who told me that the alarm motherboard was at fault and suggested they bypass the alarm at an estimated cost of between £400 and £900 depending on how long
it would take to do the job, and then they did not know if my remote access would work. I was also charged £50 for the diagnosis. They have never seen the car since, and never will during my ownership. And their slogan
is "Bring it Home". Not a chance.

I have a brand new unused second generation Motherboard and matched remote if anyone would like to buy it. £150 inc postage. Or a complete new in the box Hamilton Palmer alarm system including two remotes for £300 inc postage. https://www.flickr.c...eposted-public/
