Default Today I bought - a GT100 - well almost!

Went to have a look at this yesterday with a view to buying it

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...code=p&adPos=3

Well almost
It took 10 minutes before I walked away.
Didn't even bother with a test drive

They bought it at auction so didn't know the history.
Being a GT I explained it should have a hard top, they were adamant it shouldn't but agreed it was a GT
Previous owner had removed the fitting kit and sold the lot, demister connector and trimmed brushes were still there.
The vinyl roof had a poor repair to the passenger side in the usual place.
It had Avons on the back and ADR's on the front
Front bumper had been off at some point and poorly refitted
Loads of touch ups around it, again badly done
Rust starting to show on the front chassis rails in the engine bay

I explained there is at least £2k there to get it back to standard collectible spec
They disagreed and offered £1k off
So I walked

If anyone knows of a better low mileage GT100 for sale please let me know

Dunno why you don't just keep the one you have! You'll struggle to find one in better nick without paying double what you'd get for Jaffa.

Didn't the GT 100's have a plaque to identify them?

Haha.

I think it was you who started it, however your first one was when you bought Chinese love balls not a car.

I thought those were GT100 wheels?
I know they were on the 2006 cars in a different colour!
