What number was Gaspode's car? That would be worth looking at if it's still around and became available. As I recall it was one of the first to have an engine failure. It got a crate engine directly from Honda R&D and some other fettling before he rejected it and got a refund.
It was at Bristol Honda as an investment (the GM there got flamed here for saying it would be an appreciating asset; it has taken a while but he was right... Sort of). It may be worth giving them a call to see what happened to it.

I bought mine from Bristol Honda... I told my wife it would be an investment when we were sat down the sales rep... I went to buy a 19k black roadster when they were knocking them out cheap... 2 hours later, I signed for the GT100. An exciting day and I was right... I just sold it at the wrong time.
