Fantastic work pal, I really like the way you went through the clearcoat part of the repair, few people do that. Amazing vid !

Thank you pal! This was the second time I buffed my headlights and clearcoat is the only method to keep them from yellowing again!

Much better than before!

I use Opti-Lens instead of spray-on clear coat. It goes on so thin that you don't realize it's there. With clear coat spray, you might notice a reduction in optical clarity.

If you plan on doing this a lot, invest in a mini polisher. My choice is the Milwaukee M12 rotary buffer with 3M sandpaper attachments. I usually go from 800, 1500, 3000 then 5000 grit. I feel 2000 grit is not enough, especially if done by hand. It looks great in daylight but when you turn on the headlight at night, you can see some haze.

I'm going to try this as a last resort before ordering a set of new OEM lights. Is their a particular reason why you Polish the headlight prior to spraying the clear coat? I figured it wasn't needed but they came out great!

You polish the headlight to remove the sanding marks from the 2000 grit. If not, you're left with a hazy headlight.
