I hate to say it but there isn't really enough info to go on. There is a lot of info on S2ki in the other sections on what to look for and what to look out for. Some of it is common sense stuff. These cars are quite reliable if properly cared for.

But 12.5k is't a terrible price for the year and mileage.

2017 Mustang is quite the leap from an S2000. Not saying the Mustang is a bad car by any stretch but it is very different than an S2000 in how it performs, the costs of consumables etc. You will be paying a lot more for a Mustang of such a recent age.

I would dig around the 'under the hood' and 'S2000 talk' sections etc. Then you can get an idea what to look for or what questions to ask.

If you can get a '17 Mustang for that same price buy it! But unless this is a second, fun car I'd not buy it. (With this mileage I'd not buy it anyway.)

I know guys do it but I can't recommend an S2000 for a daily driver nor if it is not parked in a locked garage at night. Parking in the driveway, apartment parking low, or on campus is an open advertisement to theft and vandalism. Wheels and seats get ripped out (literally) weekly according to posts here with the roof cut for access.. The construction of the S2000 very often results in the car being "totaled" by the insurance company for comparatively minor collisions as well.

Starting at 150K miles is a lot different than starting at 40K miles for a few thousand more dollars. Remember all used cars have been discarded by their former owner(s) including ours. Last guy(s) no longer wanted it for some reason.
