Default Mann oil filter

I done an oil change today and noticed the Mann oil filter I got from euro car parts while fitting fine was smaller in size to the blue Honda one I took off .
Is this anything to worry about ?

Strictly speaking... I'd change it for the larger type filter. There is less filter paper for a start, not only that, pressure is said to build up more in a smaller body filter, resulting in the pressure release valve opening meaning the filter is bypassed = less filtering.

For the price, I don't see any point in not using a Honda one... It's not an area to improve on.

It wasn't the price more to with my local Honda dealer not having any in stock . I will most likely change it over for a Honda one . I always thought Mann filters were good quality

Oh that's not to say Mann are poor quality. It's the fact its a wrong filter on your car mate. That's for later K series engines.

Yep not s much a quality issue, it's more the chances of getting it wrong.
