Heddlu - Robbing B*stards!
So, on a road trip to Wales in June I got pulled over for an illegal number plate. The copper told me the number plate reader didn't pick up the registration at all!! Funny that, being as two years earlier the same police force managed to pick up the same plate and fine me for speeding!!
So this is my ridiculously modified plate.....
And the cost for moving the D........
Fine £100.00
Surcharge to fund victim services £ 30.00
Costs £ 85.00
TOTAL £215.00
Just a heads-up for those who have similar or worse plates, especially if going anywhere near North Wales Police territory.

The concept of a victimless crime is something upon which totalitarianism is predicted. And because they're now so inept at solving victimised crime.
Correct the spacing & sell it to an Audi driver...

Guess I was lucky when I was up around North Wales in March.
Number plate is identical to yours with only the last 2 characters being different.
Oh, and front plate was in the window.

I'm sure someone posted on year within the last couple years saying that spacing your plate like this was now legal?! i was going to do it myself, except i'm far too lazy! Looks like my laziness has saved me a few bob!

It's always been illegal. In 2012 the DVLA were going to relax the rules being as they were as good as encouraging it by selling plates which were clearly going to be tampered with, but they shelved the plans in the end.
