Default *URGENT* please help with alarm

Hi guys,

My lock appears to have ceased on the drivers side and now the car will not lock and alarm keeps going off. Anything I can do in the short term to stop the alarm going off but still lock the car?

Thanks

Can you use the key to lock the car?

Can you use the inside lock switch?

Did you mean seized or ceased?

Yeah what I'm doing is locking drivers from inside, climbing over and using the key to lock the passenger side. My S died on the M6 last night too! Bloody cars!

Take the door card off and spray the lock with plus gas

It's probably the lock on the backside of the handle, as opposed to the expensive lock unit.

Or else it's possibly related to a dying H&P alarm printed circuit board.

Lube everything up with Li grease (stops the voices in the door) and check the PCB. Especially if the car died inexplicably.
