Put some empty boxes on the hood, trunk and roof. I like the Scat Mat idea though.

I had this problem with my cars before I ever bought my S. Therefore, decided to head off the problem. Purchased the OEM car cover when I got the Honda. If I am out of the car, it is covered. Cat goes on top of the cover, no problem because it has plenty of padding.

I had the same problem. I simply propped up some empty plastic cd cases on the top so that they would collapse if a cat climbed on top.

Cheap and works great.

If you wash the cat in a certain way the problem will resolve itself and the darned cat would no longer feel the need to park itself atop the S. This is what you do.

Take a bucket big enough for the cat but just barely so. Pour enough water that it is higher than the cat is tall. Add to the water liquid Dove soap and one tsp of vinegar and a pinch of ginger powder. Put on some thick gloves and grab the cat with both your hands, one behind the ears on the neck and the other just in front of the rear legs, on the abdomen. HOLD ON tight now and do not let go. Gently but with adequate force, completely immerse the vermin, er...pet cat, into the solution prepared in the manner prescribed above and hold for no more but no less than exactly five minutes and thirty five seconds. PRESTO.......problem solved.....

No really though, a cat is a smart beast and a good non-crippling whacking with a suitable stick should be all that is needed.

i had the same problem with neighborhood cats...after much frustration and removing loose fur from the top...i bought six small mousetraps, set them and placed them on the top...one morning i came out to find one tripped...i left them for another week and have had NO cats since...they may be lazy furry little buggers but they do learn fast.

btw..don't waste your time on stickey stuff...i tried upsidedown strips of duct tape and found pawprints right over them!!!seems cats have oil on their pawpads that won't stick!

OK, On e thing I hav e noticed here is alot of people say to scare the cat. Um...that would put holes in the top!!! Expecially if the cats have claws. Best bet is to put something on teh roof the cat wont like.
