Default Sneak Preview Of The Jenvey Throttle Bodies.

OK I am no Neil Forlberg, but here are the pictures of the Jenvey Inlet. I am currently building a S2000 powered Autograss class nine special. However, before welding the engine brackets in place Jenvey lent me their first pre-production prototype / just so I could check everything fitted OK.

When the display engine is built up - I will post a more asthetical photo (this will also show a dry sump currently being developed).

These bodies are due to be launched in January at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham, England. So this is something of a sneak preview for the S2K International forum.

The water elbow, is not cast on to the number 4 inlet, however it is part of the inlet manifold (was kept seperate, to aviod heat soak). I am experimenting with a ceramic based gasket material to try & minimalise any thermal heat transfer which could occur from the head itself.

The final figures should be emailed to me early next week & I will add them to this post when available. However, mid range power showed dramatic improvements (a gain of 50+hp, has been quoted from Mr Dyno) along with minimal top end improvement (once again 6hp Mr D). All this on a standard engine, along with a standard header.

Please do not take the above figures to be factual, I am getting the information 3rd tier - so until I have the graphs in my possesion - I really do not want to go out on a limb with outlandish claims. On the other hand, it does sound very promising.

The dyno'd engine used these boddies, along with a newly developed Omex ECU & Pico injectors (just for the record).

One final bit of information, for the serious power hunters out there. According to the bloke at Jenvey, a kit will be available for these bodies to run on a turbo / supercharger setup.

Richard.

Well, I thought that maybe the responce. +50hp????? are you sure.... etc etc......

Mr Dyno, told me that an addtional 56hp was made at 5000rpm. There are alot of potential reasons, for this gain..... but until I get the graphs I cannot prove it / substaniate these claims.

Watch this space!

Maybe he said 5 to 6 hp and you misheard him....no way on God's green Earth are ITBs going to net you anything more than 10% the quoted number.
