Purp, You are still using a rising rate FMU as well as 550cc injectors? With injectors this big and and the EMS to run them, The FMU is pointless. You can control the pulse width of the injectors through the EMS. You don't have to run the high fuel pressure (120-125psi with the vortech FMU) and gain much finer control over the injectors than the FMU allows.

It is better to make torque at high rpm than at low rpm when you can take advantage of gearing.

Hello everyone, thanks for the nice comments, I will try to answer the questions about vtec at 3200 as for comming on in part throttle it cant. We set up parameters for the vtec. First it has to see at least 60% throttle, must see at least 0 - 1 psi of boost, must see 160 degrees coolant temp, and at least 5 mph. as for turning on the vtec that low, the car seems to respond well to it, the s/c cars like really low vtec points, and turbo cars are the oppisit, they usually like about 6800. As for the torque dip, It kindda goes with the territory, it seems that it is a transition point where the chargers is just starting to make boost. I think if we could move the cam timing around it would make a big difference. hope this helps.
Thanks

isn't this quite easy to see with the ems?
something like right click the AF graph and select duty cycle

is this right?

right click on fuel map (table view), select "View duty cycle", then tell it you have a 4 stoke engine.

If he's using boost correct or VTEC fuel add the duty cycle in the AF table won't show the total duty cycle. You really have to datalog it to be sure.

excellent point (i'm not using boost correct now). I've simply added duty cycle to a dash as well.

im going with the toda cams and comptech supercharger combo.... with further research i believe this is helpful because of the high lift part and the overlap degree isnt much from stock (todaracing.com) the only issue would be if i were to go to 18 lbs of boost. also if vtec help just think how much power would develop with larger profile cams
