Ok...so here we go, I woke up today very sore and woke up very late..... We got a start around 1 on Saturday afternoon, it was a gorgeous day and our victim was sitting stock....

the back has such a huge nasty gap

On the agenda for the day we decided to change the oil while the car was in the air and make the switch to Mobil 1 Synthetic

We started the install from the driver side rear, which all started fairly well after fighting with getting the gas tank lines out of the way to reach the upper mount.
Here is what we were installing. Comptech adjustable Springs.

look how dirty the stock setup is.....yuk

oh yea baby...after the rear install got done, without huge trouble.....kinda a pain to get these suckers out, little did we know about the problems that lay ahead. The rear was in..

So now it was time to move to the front....this all I got to say about the front

Look at the poor Silverstone alone stock height just beggin me to put on her Espelirs

After the long battle with the driver side front and such... we let down the front...

Little bit on the low side :thinker: oh yea....the jack was still in the back with the car sitting like a see saw :)
Here is the view from the inside front well

Now, we went through the grudges of adjusting the springs a couple times to level out the car and get the drop where my man Jason was pleased. Here is where it ended up

This was the first time I've gotten into the S since I've owned one after building civics from scratch basically. It was fun and learned how to speed up the process.
Here are some key points I realized.
1. The rear isn't bad at all, you just gotta have some strong hands to move suspension around to get the shock and spring out after it's unbolted.
2. The front, is cake after you do one side, although that first side and learning curve is very unforgiving.
3. Upper control arm removal up front makes things easy.
4. Be mindful of the abs or you'll stretch a wire and disable the abs making the light come on and feel like a complete moron.
5. Don't hit your face on the fender loosening a lug nut, those fenders hurt and bust lips with a quickness.
6. Clean the perch before you install everything so it adjusts easy and you don't have to uninstall the whole thing again and clean it just so you can adjust it 1/4 of an inch :banghead:
7. Having help is always a good thing.
I'd like to thank Jason for letting me help put these springs on and for the front tires that will get me through the Dragon. Just another fun day in the garage!

It was just one of those long painful days that was really alot of fun. Man, what a learning experience!
Forget the lower control arm crap in the Helms manual just release the upper control arm for the front and your gravy!
I'm very happy with the feel of the setup and the front end feels so much better with these springs than it did stock.
Also be aware that having a Small Fortune sway bar can make the install a bit tricky. It's an amazingly well built piece but when the control arm comes down the body of the shock will flush against the bolt head on the bar. Which makes manuvering it really difficult.
I'll try to get some pictures of the settled ride height today as soon as I finish work :p

There wouldnt have been a chance in H-E-L-L that you could have found this place without following us. That boy's parent live out in the BOON-DOCKS!
I've been in TN for two years now and I have never really felt like I have see the "real" TN until now. I think we passed about 6 moonshine distillerys
Seriously though the area was beautiful and wonderfully fresh and clean. Driving the back roads was a blast it was probably just as curvy as the Dragon is going to be :)
