I found this out in June, so it is a little belated... but after seeing my dumba$$ in the FreshWater 2004 DVD... I thought I'd post and admit ignorance before it comes back to bite me in the butt!

So the story goes:

Mid Spring, on a sunny day... back in the good ol' year of 2001... I bought my brand new... fresh from the factory MY02 Suzuka Blue S2000! Enthusiasm was just the tip of the ice-berg... with a whole monster lying 'n wait under the water! At the time I was so overwhelmed by having the first Suzuka blue in Michigan... that I failed to notice first: my saleswomen was worthless- second: I overpaid by about 4g's, and third: THAT THERE WAS A SECRET COMPARTMENT!!

All this time... I've read threads with your typical witty rhetoric... never taking the time or caring to realize that there was some truth to all the :bs:. I seriously thought it was no more than an inside joke...

...and then... at the tour, I see about 2 or 3 people at one of our pit-stops with their UPPER COUNSEL OPEN!!?? :thinker: :eek3: ...I run over in disbelief... and there it was- The Secret Compartment!

Well initially, I couldn't get that Saturday Night Live bit, with Rob Schneider, out of my head; "Dude... you can hide your :reefer: in there!" ...as I thought of so many ways to make money crossin' over into Windsor, CA a couple times a week!
...but then... I realized...

Who the Posted Image owns a car for THREE years... and overlooks something like this!!

Well... I guess I do! :D :D :D ;)

In the three years you've had the car, you never ONCE looked at the compartment?

i found it in the showroom (my salesman was worthless as well, but i got a good price cut on it by 4g's hehe).

well if you think about it... you can look at the main compartment 1000 times... but there is nothing really that directs you to the compartment above it... but yes... I am :freak1:

no... there were about 4 or 5... they coincidentally all missed the group shot by the beach... but they are in numerous others.

There is a group shot from the hotel roof... showing them all grouped... and you can see them all then.

That beach shot only has about 75% of the cars... cause it was the last day and many had to bolt and couldn't make it to the Tirerack to autoX

took me about a week to find the secret compartment. However, I would never have found it if it weren't for S2ki.com

It takes a big man to admit this. And, a rather embarrased one, I imagine. ;)

Guess you didn't read the manual.
To people who say the S2000 sucks in the snow, you either don't have the right tires, or you just suck at driving.

Just to save you another three years...

The Super Secret Compartment is behind the trunk liner to the left of the spare tire. You can get a lot of stuff in there.

First time I sat in the car, opened the glove box and fliped the lid.... seemed intuitive to me

Maybe I'm shorter and could see it better?
