I was taking the Stook out for a good thrashing through Cannock Chase today when I came across an MX5 owner (new model) who enthusiastically waved (I had the top down and a big grin on my face, his top was up).
He took me by surprise so I nodded and smiled.
I thought that was really nice of him ......until...............Mandy suggested maybe he thought it was another MX5 coming at him  :(
Black / Black gone to another home :(
Stooker forever

We see a black Audi TT Roadster about quite a lot. The driver used to flash his lights making us wonder who he was flashing at:rolleyes: We finally realised it was us:eek: He's stopped flashing now so I suppose we'd better flash HIM... he must think we're typical stuck-up S2000 drivers:D

I always feel a bit guilty if I miss waving at somebody, don't want to give a bad impression of S2000 owners :p

I went past an ITR once and I waved my hand out of the open top roof. ( I always wave or flash a fellow hondite :) )
It wasn't until the next day that I realised who it was... and that Brian had just got an ITR.

I bet I'll do the same next week with an S2K... only to find out its Brian again !! :D :D

Either they don't seem to notice, or it seems to scare them to death

Perhaps it's the air horns:eek:

On my recent Hertford-Bermen-Hertford trip, I saw not one S2K!

Perhaps that's why so many Germans seemed to turn and stare at the car.

Ever since September of 2008, we have seen the fruits of the fiat money roots that Mises warned against almost a century ago. But modern free-market economists are as hostile to Mises's theory of the business cycle as they were hostile to Mises's theory of the economic irrationalism of socialism . . . until the Soviet Union fell. Then, they got religion, but they still never mention Mises. It was as if he had never lived....Gary North

Yes, I want to do the horn upgrade pretty soon, when people cut me up I just shake my fist, to press the horn would be much too embarrassing.

Surely it must be a fairly easy mod ??

Fiamms dual tone loud and a nice sound, easy to fit with a bit of messing but not bad, time approx 20 mins when you've sorted where you are going to mount them. "BE HEARD" not like andy pandy "toot toot" (in joke)

Here's a link to the install instructions for the horn:-

http://www.s2ki.com/...&threadid=17409

Is it really necessary to strip the car this far??? I already have dual Fiamm horns (Not air horns) so I don't need to fit a compressor.

Tonky sounds like you have the same horns as my self, the install instructions in my opinion my be fine if you are fitting a compressor but you dont need to go half as far to fit duals, I certainly did'nt. If I can be of help ( pm ) me.

Found out tonight who this TT owner is! He's a guy who used to own an MGF, and he uses the same garage as I do. I haven't seen him for months. The last time I spoke to him he was thinking of the S2000 or the TT Roadster. I gave him certain advice of course! Well I ran into him tonight and he's bought the black TT Roadster. He's really not a happy little bunny:eek: He's bitterly complaining about rattles coming from the soft top and everywhere else:confused: He told me he wished he'd bought the S2000 and asked me if I had any rattles. I felt almost guilty telling him that I didn't:(
