Default Error Code 1412

Saturday last, car ECU warning light appeared. Being close to home I drove gingerly there after reading warnings in handbook.

Spoke to The Feathered One (Oh wise One!) who gave me a few hints.

Checked fuel cap, checked lines to air pump. All OK so disconnected battery for a few minutes. Reconnected battery and started engine - no ECU warning light so went for a spin and a vtec and all was OK.

Sunday all still OK on a drive.

Monday morning all OK but in afternoon ECU warning light appeared again.

Drove to Dealer who put car on diagnostic machine etc and got Error Code P1412 for which he did not have any details. He tried calling Honda Technical but couldn't get through. I drove home and ECU light off.

Tuesday (today) ECU light on as soon as car started. Spoke to Dealer who had still not managed to contact Honda Technical. Internet Search turned up P1412 as high voltage at Air Pump. Told Dealer. Since then Nothing.

Anyone know anything about this darn Error Code and how to sort it?

Incidently I had a PRM Intake fitted 10 days ago but can't think that this would affect the car in this way.

All contributions welcome.

Might be worth checking the connections to the PRM. Maybe one of the hoses are crimped at an angle.

There are several hoses on the PRM

What about the hose near the pulleys which has the 1 way valve in it?

That's the one I meant as the other is a straight line from PRM to Rocker Cover. When fitted we did not change all the hoses just the one.

Let's just confirm the connections.
You got the one that's attached to the "S" shaped metal tube shown in the original picture and also there should be the thicker one coming out of the underneath (black) in this picture.

And you've also still got the sensor attached as seen connected to the thin blue pipe and next to the aforementioned black pipe towards the bottom of the picture... ???

More pics here.

It was all fitted correctly by Feathers who also has a PRM. The valve was not removed from the hose. The only things changed were the top hose to the rocker cover in place of the steel pipe, and the one above from the old box to the PRM.

I think Feathers knew what he was doing, plus the car has done 500 miles including a load of vtec'ing since fitting without problem.

Garage have been intouch and they want it tomorrow for further diagnostic checks.

Right... Gotchya.

The only things I can find about P1412 are a few US guys who have had the same code after fitting a spoon ECU. They were non the wiser what the code meant either. Nor could they find out.

Sorry.
