I ended up installing diamond Audio Hex in the doors and diamond audio sub (cm310) in the tools area of the trunk and pushing them with a kicker kx650.4 amp. The sound is great I just need to fix all the rattles with dead skin this weekend

Kewl! :rev: I'd like to take a listen to it sometime. I've been wanting to put some subs in my S, just not sure what kinda setup I wanna go for yet.
Maybe when I'm in OKC on 2/26, we can get together for a small S2K meet or something.

I just remembered - I might be bringing my 93 Legend that weekend instead. We're staying overnight in OKC, and I'm just kinda paranoid about parking the S at a hotel overnight without the car cover on (might not be enough trunk space for two people's stuff plus the car cover). I know I would sleep much better knowing he's safe at home in the garage. Oh well, it's not like you guys have never seen a stock pre-04 silverstone before, right? (edit - although I did get my new grill cover put on today - yay!)

Oooooh, just bring the S. :) What hotel are you staying at? The hotels on Meridian Ave by the airport are pretty nice. I stayed in the Hampton Inn twice ($66 a night w/ free high-speed internet and wireless in the lobby) and left my car in the lot and I don't even have a hi-tech alarm that beeps at ya when you get near it like you do. hehe :rev: (I used to have a Viper in my Miata like that)

Of course if your stuff is not going to fit in the trunk, that's a different story, but I don't think you're going to have a problem parking it in the hotel lot. I wouldn't put a cover on it though. Covers just say, "Mess with me please!" and "The owner is gone for a long time!". There was actually a Z4 there with a cover over it when I was there a few weeks ago. I could tell it was a Z4 by the shape and it stuck out like a sore thumb with the cover on it.

Just think, you've got more of a chance of getting the car marked up by rocks while you're actually driving it than you would with it sitting in a parking lot for 12 hours or so. :drunk:

First of all, my apologies to japwhiz for hijacking this thread... I swear that was not the intent here. I kinda rambled on and on earlier.

Kris, I think we're staying at some Best Western not far from the Ford Center. I can't remember which one; I'm not the one who made the arrangements. Well, we might not have that much stuff... my clothes are pretty small :rev: and he travels pretty light, plus it's only one night. Anyways, I'm still undecided at this point in regards to which ride to take. Other deciding factors may be the fact that Stony needs new tires and the Legend has a decent system in it.

Not in the S, but I have in another car. I actually used the spray on stuff. It worked well, but made the car stink for a while, as does Dynamat. Have you already gotten the Dynamat because there is other stuff out there that smells less and is cheaper.

I am actually not using dynamat but "dead skin" by rockford instead. Im going to do the trunk lid; some kind of defuser behind the rear bumper; license plate;hatch mechanism and rear panel. I Hope it helps, because it rattles pretty bad. Hey, atleast I know my sub is working well

Ok, if the weather forecast looks good and if I have new tires, I'll bring the S. Maybe I'll even have my new personalized plate in (ordered it back in @#$% September).

How does 2:00 p.m. (or might I say "1400" for Jerome and Kris) sound to you guys?

1400 on the 26th? That should be good, but I'll know for sure as it gets nearer.

Actually, I find myself still sometimes saying 2:00 or 6:00 instead of 1400 or 1800 when I don't have to use the 24 hour clock system. I joined the Air Force late in life, so I still haven't lost my civilian habits. :rev:

So do I. I was meant for "The Guard". I don't know what ever possessed me to join active duty. :rev:

Where? Uh, I dunno... what do you guys suggest? Just not Hooters again, please. If you wanna do a late lunch, how about Japanese food?

Yeah, I'm not up for "eye candy" with shitty service again. :rev:

I haven't had Japanese in a long, long time, so I'm up for that.
