Find the file HOSTS in the directoryc:/windows...etc.
Edit it with notepad and add the 127.0.0.1 line in at the bottom. Save it, making sure it does not save with a txt extension. (ie: it stays with the name HOSTS)
The google adds should disappear as you've just told your PC that they reside on your own machine rather than t'Internet.

Viewing the Google ads don't bother me however it's a bit of a Catch 22 because people tend to want to filter them out with their browsers and that means the sponsor ads, meet banners etc are also then filtered out.
