I like old school styling, the XS, the CB, that eBay job is a bit busy, hurts my eyes
i don't like old school brakes though.. abs is a must for a commuter bike used year round, mine has kicked in plenty of times in shitty conditions
And heated grips lol
Anyways, still pondering but I do fancy that honda

Wheels Motorcycles in Peterborough aren't a million miles from you, they've normally got a range of stuff in to prod about at in one place and importantly, under one roof.

This is competitive:
eBay CB1000
We have the superbike place down at Donny park too, lots of choice but I'd need to pull my finger out and flog mine
Meanwhile tsunami predicted tmr for my weekly RTO visit
Feck off

Ahh you want one of the newer ones. tbf i think they did a better job with the look of these. I also really like their CB1100 with the twin pipes, sure the range is gash but for what i actually do it'd be perfect - it's the leather panniers that'd put me off!

I find the 650R has a lot of cheap parts, same as my XSR with steel swingarm, cheap suspension and a basic subframe. My CBR of what, 2008 vintage was leagues ahead in build quality but I suppose expensive
I remember riding it back down the A1 from Leeds. And putting it in a hedge a few thou later
The 1000 is way better than the 650. I have two doubts
1 I don't like dealers, would it depreciate non dealer maintained
2. Weight. It doesn't feel it but is heavier than the Yam
Anyways, I probably will dither over the winter, I took the car today weather was Uber shitty. Traffic was ok. Ironically cheaper than taking the bike. Yam ~55mpg, CB is ~40-45 apparently

The Z is ok but it's garaged and doesnt get used in the wet. Weight is all low down, not so on that Honda Nothing modern lasts I think.
