I mistyped my first 1/4 mile time (it was 14.070, but typed 15.070). I also fixed my top MPH (was actually 102.41)

I would also recommend getting at the very least a proper e-tune. I got mine done from evans tuning, and the toda reflash was still a bit too lean, plus there was significant knock retard. He can tune all of that out, straighten up your A/F ratio and you will have a smoother, consistent power band. Also, try holding 4th gear all the way out - even if that means going to 8500rpms in 4th, you wouldn't need to go that high in all the other gears, plus obviously power shifting always helps a little.
Thanks for the feedback. I definitely need to get a proper tune, just haven't had the time to do it. I doubt I will be going back to the track with my S, but if I do, I will use all the tips suggested by all of you. Thanks!

Ok so on 4-22 I went to Huntsville Dragstrip here in Alabama, this was the weekend before the tornados...anywho I think I have a problem with my time being slower than I expected.

Run 1
60ft- 2.1274
330ft- 6.1098
1/8 ET- 9.2607
1/8 MPH-78.10

Run 2
60ft- 2.0732
330ft- 5.9148
1/8 ET- 9.0070
1/8 MPH- 79.60

Run 3 (missed 2nd)
60ft- 2.1089

60ft- 2.1393

1/8 ET- 9.0834
1/8 MPH- 79.76


I was up against my uncles New 5.0 Mustang all 4 races. The best he ran was a 9.0587. The weekend before that he had ran an 8.8xxx so I was wondering if it might have just been the track or what? I mean I have gutted oem box w/ K&N filter, 70mm exhaust and TP and flashpro. I had the launch limiter set at 6000 to begin with (run 1) but it bogged too much so I moved it up to 6500 after run 1. It really didn't spin like at all. Is it my driving or what do you guys think?

Those speeds sound about average, what tires are you running.

Between 79 and 85. He got 85 the first run. but 2 79's and a 81 I think the others were. The 85 he got when he left traction control on.

AEM v2, test pipe & stock tune or know what that set up should trap??

you are about 101-102mph with some quick shifts. when i had my catback i stayed side by side with my friends ap2 with IDNETICAL mods...down to the shift knob...ha.

Since you have a good tire in the rear you need to LAUNCH the car. i wouldnt recommend it on stock diff. On the street with my star specs on 75-80 degree day i launch at 7500ish and i launched okay( i have stage 1.5 diff) its alot harder to launch star specs then bridgestone re050s lol. WAYYY more sticky.

Rs3's are on the level of "sticky" as RE70's if not higher 140 threadwear I believe

Anyone in here ran at "Autoclub speedway" in Fontana Ca.? And would be able to tell me what theyre time was? I've heard from ALOT of people thats its the worst track in the country to run at...so I wanted to see if any other members have had experience there. besides myself...
