(Ottawa west) it looks like my 03 spa will on the road this Wednesday. I bought it in the US, so I've had a few hurdles to jump, before I can register it in Ontario. just waiting for my daytime running light module, then it's off to CDN Tire for the RIV inspection. i had to obtain French airbag stickers for the visors as well. The import process was painless. The delays waiting for a couple of parts has been the only painful part of the process. Knowing I'll have my s2k soon, has kept me smiling through the delays. I learned a couple of things through the process and would be happy to advise anyone interested in the import process.
I could use some help. I am looking for a mechanic who will treat this ride right. Does anyone have research or experience that shows which is better: Krown rustproofing vs Metropolitan "oil" spray? Has anyone installed a clear bra (stone guard)? Is it a good investment for winter? Do they discolour? Is there a reliable shop that sells/installs them if it is worthwhile? Anyone know of good winter floor mats?
Thanks for any assistance you can provide. It's been 6 weeks since I first considered buying a S2K and I still haven't seen another. Usually when you settle on a car, all you see on the road is that model. I look forward to meeting you and will follow the S2KI and Ottawa forums to keep up with all things S2K.

May 8, 2008-spotted a silver S on the back of a flatbed truck. 401 eastbound around Port Hope. Looked like it rolled over. Probably totalled. Passenger side took the brunt of the damage.
Such a sad site.
Hope the driver and passenger are OK.

There were 5 S2Ks at Scotiabank Place yesterday for the autocross. Fun event! I saw a white one stop by briefly but it was gone pretty quickly. If we get a few more out to events we can start to challenge the Subarus for most of the same car out at an event

Hi there, I was up visiting the GTA & Ottawa last week & spotted a number of S's - more than I thought I would:

6/6, 11:30pm - orange S at Toronto airport (parked)
6/8, 4pm - black AP1 w/ Invidia going nth on Hwy 6 nr Guelph
6/10, 8pm - red S on Queen Elizabeth Dr, Ottawa
6/11, 5:45pm - black S going west on 7 (off 115) (at Lindsay?)
6/11, 6:20pm - black S going west off 401 at exit 401 (licence plate WSAMATAU)

Plus a couple more in/around Toronto & Guelph... I was in a Suzuki (not so) Swift rental car

Nice area btw - looks like you have some great roads & good weather for driving ~7 mths out of the year?!?

nice weather 12 months a year for me. the snows will be the only tires that last more than 1 season.

I spotted a silver AP1 with a hard top and blacked out rims yesterday, Friday the 11th, at the intersection of March rd and Solandt in Kanata. Anyone out here?
