Wow! NOPI Pittsburgh turned out to be a Blast!! Much more fun and action than i expected. Both Sat. and Sunday were packed at Heinz Field. All kind of celberites came out from the Hulk Hogan family to watch and support Nick drift to Phil and April Margera from "Viva la BAM" to sell April's cookbook. West coast customs was there along with of course the famous "NOPI CHICKS" ......Drifting both days, the car show, bikini contest, sound competition, even the rain held off...what more do ya want!!

This was my 1st chance to witness Drifting live and man is it NUTS!! :eek3: These guys are crazy!! Fans couldn't stay away from the action....i couldn't even get a seat in the bleachers.....i just stood on the fence and took these picks. This car was the Champ!

Here is Nick Hogan's 350Z (Hulk's son)....he is an up and coming star in drifting and finished 3rd....not bad for a 19 year old kid.

Some other random shots

Between drifting events the NOPI chicks were walking around with the camera men takeing pictures and modeling with some of the top cars.....so i was thinking if i could only get them in the S, being one of the only ragtops there....so what do ya know.....up my row they came and and the camera man said how about this one.... :eek3: :eek3: YES!!! he asked me to close the hood and if they could climb up onto the car to pose.....the 1 model (in yellow) is my favorite of all the girls....thats Mya Simone.....i met her 2 years ago when she was still just getting her name out there....so they both sat on the roll bars with me in the middle like the PIMP i wish i was. :D There must of been a hundred people taking pics.....i was nervous as hell.....what an great oppertunity to get these pics though.

So then i was asked by NOPI Tunervision TV......the show that is on SPEED Channel if i wanted to do an interview with the host of that show standing next to my car!!! :eek3: :eek3: I was like sure!! SO....the AV-crew wired me up and got the camera ready then i got to meet the BEAUTIFUL host right before she interviewed me!! I was really nervous now!! there were even more peple standing around us and we had to film 5 takes to get the shots right and clear the people out of the background.....It was crazy....I was stumbling for words a little and the interview came out a little funny.....You'll have to wait and see it on SPEED channel during the LA Nopi show they are going to combine it with Pittsburgh because they said they didn't have enough film from the both....It should be on in about 2-4 weeks time......so stay tuned to see if they decieded to use my minute clip!! It just depends on how bad i screwed up the questions as wheather they will use it or not!!!

I got to talk to the head judge who scored my car to high marks and he said i should place but i just didn't know how high at the time.....i was entered in JDM Street and was told so were about 25 other cars in that category....sooo....Sunday award presentation came and the top 3 were called out to go up on stage and i wasn't 3rd....nor 2nd....then 1st was called and what do you know....1st place trophy in JDM street :eek3: I was pumped!!....to get recognized at NOPI is HUGE!! The only bigger award than this is to place at the NOPI National in Atlanta with over 7,500 cars being the biggest show in the country.

Of course i was the only S2k there being judged out of about 150 cars  ....we did however have 1 fellow S2k Allegheny member (Kevin) show up and brought out his yellow AP2 out  Import Fusion in August will be better for us!! I garentee we will take home top club!!! See up guys then!
