Default Okada Projects Dyno Meet Demonstration Results

Thanks to everybody who took the time out of their Saturday morning to come out and join E-Auto and Okada Projects at Church dyno where we were able to test out the Okada Projects coil packs on the dyno, as well as give a few people a chance to test them on their own cars.

Dyno results.

William (NA s2000)

Vortech Supercharged S2000's.

Nozaholic

Windchaser

As far as the live testing was concerned, a few people were able to actually test them on their own cars, and came back with nothing but positive feedback. Hopefully everybody which tested the coil packs first hand will be generous enough to post some reviews and some more insight on the coilpacks

All in all, it was a great event, and i'd like to thank everybody for coming out and making the event possible. We will deffinently be holding more events in the future! Thanks a lot guys and post up some feedback!

So, I won the raffle and have been running my set of coilpacks on my NA car for about 2 days. Overall, I have been very pleased with the Okada coilpacks. The car runs very smooth throughout the powerband and the transition to vtec is practically seamless. I cant say i feel anymore power (and this was backed up by the dyno results for the NA car) but the car is running very well. I would have to say this would be a good product for FI vehicles as a ~7-12hp gain is not bad at all for that price. Thanks again to Allen and Will from E-Auto.

thank you E-Auto for setting this up.

i was one of the fortunate few that got to demo the coil packs on my car.
walter jumped in the car with me and we took it for a spin. it took a few minutes for the ecu to figure out what was going on and adjust to it but once it did it was great.
the best word i can use to describe the feeling is "SMOOTH".
the car revved up so much better, the butt dyno says the power curve is more linear. you'll have to check out the dyno graphs to see for yourself.
the car even engaged vtec much smoother.
it almost felt like my car got a better fuel/ignition map. i don't think the coil packs make any peak power but i think the difference is felt through out the power band and it does get rid of the semi-rough idle that i had and it drives better.

it's a little hard to describe the changes...you just have to feel it for yourself. the engineer from Okada gave us a little demo of the coil pack while they had the cars on the dyno. seemed like these things produce a more power spark that has a longer duration than the stock coils.

is there any dyno graph you can post that illustrates the smoothing off the powerband? It should be visable on any back to back dynos if the smoothing is set to the least aggresive.

Dyno charts posted Notice how the power/torque curve was smoothed out after the coil packs were installed.

I spy increased low-end torque in the 2-3k rpm range for the NA car.

Hopefully that was the cure to the complaints of the low-end "boggle."

You might be right! I definitely felt low-end bog go away.
Very smooth.

nice product!

i tested out these coil packs as well and go along with the others response, very smooth. it definately increased a lot like throttle response, a lil power, vtec engagement was smooth. in the long run i bet it'll save gas too

all in all very nice product

I love my Okada Direct Plasma coil packs.

It is working with these mods though:

ASM Cold Air Intake
Mugen 2.2 Headers
Amuse titanium Dual exhaust
Sun Hyper Ground System

Just trying to find time to schedule a dyno since I was in Seattle during E-auto's meet.
