Default gt30r or gt35r?

hey guys, i recently changed my turbo set up and i'm going for a new tune friday, i have 2 different turbos and i dont know which one to use. in the beginning of the summer i had the gt35r and it was kind of lagy so i put a gt30r and it spools really fast and i kind of like it but i'm afraid it's gonna make any power up top.

i have a gt35r 82 a/r and a gt30r 63 a/r which one would you use?

my set up is:
lovefab mini-me
3 inch downpipe and exhaust
inlinepro 3mm hg
rc750cc injectors
homemade intake manifold.

i'm shooting for 425 hp pump 16-18 psi you think gt30r will do it? 63 A/r ?

this is how it's sits VVVVV gt30r

I have the solution: Straighten out your confused car by painting it one color instead of 2.

On topic: shouldn't be a problem for the gt30 with a good tune assuming that your homemade IM is an improvement over stock.

well i still have the tune from my ultimate racing kit with the 3mm headgasket it made 336hp and 242tq @14psi.
last sat i went to the dyno and i left it at 6-7psi and it made 275hp and 195 tq pig rich. i'm hopping to gain another 100hp with 10 psi more. well see, but what scares me is the 63a/r on the gt30r

For 400-450 rwhp, GT30R>GT35R.

all depends on what you want.

Compare a GT30R vs GT35R dyno plot and see which you prefer.

The one thing a dyno chart can't show you is the sweet spool up sound of the GT35R....the 30 doesn't have the "sound" (not as pronounced anyway)

True, i cant hear the spool up from the outside, more noticable in the car.

The GT30R .63 will hit 425 without a problem on pump gas. Im using that same turbo at 15psi, cometic 2mm gasket. Best overall performance and street use. More mid-range torque over a GT35R.

I totally agree with you i miss my old turbo sound spooling up
But this turbo i have now gt30r .82 actually whines kinda like a supercharger
Wierd. Better then nothing i guess
I have the gt30r also, and im making 495 whp @ 16 psi
And yes i agree with Soul, TJTURBO there is something wrong with your numbers you should be making ALOT more then that.
Soul coughing has 384 whp and hes on stock exhaust
good uck
