Here's your answer:
The Rotrex was built with the idea that, turbos compressors are efficient pumps, they are just coupled to heat and are exhaust driven. Why not build a belt driven turbo?
Typical turbo compressors wheels spin above 80,000RPM to be in their efficiency range. This range, depending on the size of the compressor wheel, can be up to and above 200,000 RPM.
This efficiency range cannot be reached by the centrifugals we commonly know.
To counter act not hitting the high RPMs, the centrifugal superchargers have been big, and had big compressor wheels, in an attempt to move air. But these big wheels also cause poor low RPM performance on the vehicle.
Now here comes the Rotrex.
-The Rotrex is small; about the size of the turbo it competes against. It has a traction drive, but is sans the turbine of course.
-The traction drive system has been tested to over 500,000RPM! Compressors wheels will not live at that RPM though. The smallest Rotrex unit spins at 201,000 RPM all day long!
-It uses the same wheels and housings as its turbo opponents, because the drive system can turn the proper RPMs.
Hope that answers a few questions.

Of course, Rotrex.com for more information on the supercharger.

The 300 hp kit can use the stock clutch.

Seems to be a piggyback (propetary most likely) but if the kit can be purchased without the piggyback, you can use an AEM Fuel / Ignition Controller (F/IC) which would allow a more precise tune; but then you loose the CARB rating and might as well go to the 400whp kit. From there, WTFKs since it is too damn early to know what the marketing strategy is.

Is there a core exchange or does the customer retain the factory ecu? Pardon the hipe but hell ya that will save some $$$$'s. Not being a pin head, but with this

Hello All!
We had a fantastic SEMA show! It was great to meet some of you on the forum!
Let me see if I can clear a few things up:
The KraftWerks Supercharged S2000 (SEMA car) is at over 400 wheel HP and 280 lb-ft of torque. With 200 lb-ft at 4000 RPM! It is wonderful to drive!
The KraftWerks S is a completely stock engine, with stock head gasket, stock header and stock catalytic converter.
Our pricing for the kits is as follows:
-The KraftWerks CARB-Legal (5PSI) supercharger kit will be $5495.
This kit includes all necessary hardware and instructions. This kit uses our SuperCard injection module for a fuel solution. This proprietary module has been tested on the vehicle in a range of situations, requiring no additional tuning.
-The KraftWerks High-Boost (10PSI) supercharger kit will be $6495.
The High-Boost kit will utilize Hondata engine management and RC injectors. KraftWerks has worked closely with Hondata to develop the H-O kit program, and will not require additional tuning.
For those of you that have already made the investment in a standalone ECU, we now have a solution.
-The KraftWerks You Tune (YT) High-Boost supercharger kit will be available for $5695.
RC Injectors and Hondata will NOT be included, allowing you to decide what type of injectors and standalone ECU you would like. This kit is designed exclusively for the tuner/racer that has a standalone ECU, properly sized injectors and access to a dyno.
Any information/inquiries/questions/concerns regarding any KraftWerks product should be sent to sales@kraftwerksusa.com or PM'd to KraftWerks.
More updates will be available in the coming weeks here on S2Ki or on our soon-to-launch website, KraftWerksUSA.com.
I think that is all! If not, post your question!!

Is the Hondata unit a RSX K-pro or a S2k specific unit?
How about AP1 High boost apps?
