Just a small update.

Momo Mod Drift Style 330mm steering wheel. NRG short hub and 2.0 quick release.

Posted Image

Also been deleting a few stuff to lighten the load a bit more.

Replaced OEM header (23.5 lbs) with DC header (10 lbs).
Stereo system: 60 lbs
Airbags and brackets: 12 lbs

Temporary fix for now... debating whether to leave it as is, paint it black, cover it in leather, or cover it in fake carbon fiber.

Funny you should mention that. I sold my SRS airbag with the cover so I would need to get another but I can't find it anywhere on Majestic website. Its not under Interior or SRS airbags either.

But anyway, if the radio delete doesn't work out for me, I plan on putting a single 5.25" speaker under there. One speaker only weighs 2.5 lbs. :)

So, when are you going to install the 5 or 6 point harnesses so you and your potential passenger can actually be safe in a crash? Just say'in, that mesh grill would make an awesome impression on a passengers forehead. How much closer to your chest/face is that dished steering wheel?

I just hate to see folks remove SRS without upgrading the belts to something safer and more secure. They can help hold you in place a lot better when hustling around the track too. MUCH safer and practical too. Well worth the couple pounds.

And I love your engine bay. That just looks incredible! You really do some nice work.

Cleaned up the wirings on top of the intake manifold. Removed a couple of emission hoses. Completely shorten the throttle cable. Added a few steel-braided tubes.

I cut the cable wire and re-attached it using something I bought from HomeDepot. If you blow up the picture below you could actually see the connection. If you are going to do this, cut it from the pedal side so you don't see the connection in the engine bay. I've just been lazy to re-route it the right way.

I may or may not even track this car but I just love the look and the simplicity of a gutted track car. I always have. Knowing that by saving weight, I get to move a little faster and save a little more gas is just a bonus to me. Not to mention it makes it soooo much easier to work on the car! Everything is laid out in front of you so everything is accessible! I have a half hour commute to work and for that half hour in the morning and at night I wanna feel like a race car driver (without exceeding the speed limit of course ;) ).

You got me thinking...since you are a wire tuck madman, I wonder you could rotate the injectors 90 degrees and hide the connectors under the fuel rail... :thinker:

Good point. I'll give it a try next time I mess around with the injectors, Bill. :)

Just spent the last hour reading through all this. Love how your passion shows through. I used to be like that back in highschool. I hope someday to have it revived. I am def gonna "borrow" a few of your ideas for under the hood area. Im getting ITBs installed within the next few weeks and its gonna open up the engine bay a lot and i wanna take the opportunity to make it as clean as possible. Keep up the work!
