Thanks for the nice write up. I was planning to take my car in soon for a transmission fluid change and rear differential change, but I think I will try and tackle it myself. Now you just need to have a DIY rear differential fluid change! lol.

Yep,did the same as you.New Honda fluid seems ok.I changed from the GM Syncro FM.

I used ramps instead of jacking/stands.EZ!

I like to chng the trans & diff fluid every 3rd oil change.

I picked up the same pump and used it for my last transmission change. It took forever to pump the fluid and the pump fell all apart.

I had to come up with another idea to make it less messy and efficient to get the fluid in.

I got two clear 1L bottles and a pump from a local beauty store. The pumps are much stronger and the tube is larger in diameter that it pumps fluid quickly. Get some 1/4 clear hose from home depot and fit it on the end. Voila!

The only thing is you have to pour the fluid first into the bottles, which is not a problem for me.

You can just run a 4-5 ft vacuum hose into the engine bay and funnel it in. Cost a couple of bucks.
