Default Wake the Dragon 2008

Alright, lets try and keep this on topic please. DO NOT reply to tell me you can't make it as that will start all sorts of controversy and the thread will be ruined.

The dates are April 17-20 and I'd like to use this thread to track attendance, plan rooms, caravan's etc. You can follow registration etc here: Dragon Subforum

WARNING: I will NOT be returning with the caravan as I am going to visit family in the area while I'm down there.

Who's going:
Daktruckie99 + 1 Hotels booked and event registration paid
Bo (Red) Event registration paid

Here's the route I am going to be taking. I'm going to stop at a travelodge in VA on Thursday night to split the ride up.

The Travelodge is the same one the NY Metro guys will be staying at:

Alright folks. There seems to be no interest but I am now booked at Fontana as well as the Travelodge for the way down. I'll be caravaning with the NY Metro folks.

I'll take plenty of pics for y'all

I will be going. Right now i'm thinking of leaving EARLY friday moring from NH. I'm hoping to meet up with anyone else who's going from the area. Let me know if your going/your ideas on a group drive out there.

I told you in PM. But I'm heading out Thursday evening and driving to a Travelodge along I81 in VA where I am going to meet up with the NY Metro crew. We're all rolling down to Fontana Friday AM.

Speaking from experience, I don't recommend leaving on Friday unless you absolutley have to. After driving 15-16 hours on Friday, you will be bushed when you arrive and won't get any runs on the dragon in. We got some of the best runs of the weekend on Friday last year. Saturday is a very busy day with the group drive and banquet so Friday is a full driving day. We left Thursday morning, stopped over night about 4 hours from the lodge and drove in Friday morning. If you can do it, it is the way to go.

Is there a cut-off to register for this event?

April 1 for the official registration but that is just dinner and paperwork stuff.

Hotel might fill up sooner.
