Strange noise from fuel rail adapter for CTSC FPR
so when my engine is off i lean in closely (to the triangular fuel rail adapter for the comptech FPR) and i can hear a VERRRRRY quiet hissing, exactly like what a radio sounds like when you turn up the volume but there's nothing playing. not static, just that idle sound. there's no fuel leaking cause nothing's wet around it. is this normal? i'm thinking i need to change that little o-ring on the adapter. other than that i don't see what else could be wrong...
ALSO, i can smell gasoline when the heater is on, so i guess there is some kind of vapor leak there...but i don't smell it all the time...?

I've eliminated mine since I went with a standalone and bigger injectors but I remember that area as a constant source of very very small leaks. Do you smell any fuel? Take a tissue or paper towel and wipe the area around and under where the fuel line connects. If the sound is really coming from there and not a vacuum line or crankcase pressure venting, I would suspect a slight leak. I also used to have a pressure gauge on there and the line can stay pressurized for days after the car is off. Is it only immediately after you shut the car off?
3ngin33ri -The area below where I had the gauge is where he is talking about.

i smell fuel sometimes coming thru the vents when i have the heat on. my garage smells like fuel after i turn the car off. i've checked multiple times but i'm yet to find any liquid leaks. i guess it's leaking out at such a low rate that it vaporizes before i can find it? i'm still getting ~200miles per tank. there's no gasket that goes between the fuel rail adapter and the fuel rail, just the o-ring that goes around that small hole. i guess i could try to fit a new one of those and see what happens?

You could certainly try that, though I would think if you could smell fuel, you would see it or feel it. Like I said, take something thin and absorbent that shows any moisture and wipe it around that whole area where the fuel line connects to the rail. It has to be coming from somewhere.
It wouldn't explain the noise, but I would also check all the connections at the Comptech FPR. The one on the bottom is tough to see and might be worth checking out. There are only a couple connection points it could be coming from so if you follow the fuel flow up to the engine bay, through the FPR and to the rail I'm sure you'll find the leak. Good luck.

Did you installed a new crush washer between the fuel rail and Comptech FRP Bolt on ? It's one time use only.
I was having same problem.
