Default Fuel Injector Leaking

One of the fuel injector is leaking at the arrow below. Right where the hole in the injector is.

What causes it to squirt fuel out of that hole? Is it a sign that injectors are bad or is it something else that is wrong that causes the fuel to squirt out that way.

Probably you have a partially obstructed injector. Does it leak at low or high rpm?

I was watching it gush out at idle. I have no clue if it lessens at higher RPM. Would an '06 fit an '02 injectors?

DBW cars use different injectors.

Can this be cleaned up? I just need it for a couple of more months.

ray it looks like you have a torn o-ring on the top of the injector, i would replace the o-ring and double check for a leak.

Im with this unless there is actual physical damage to that area of the injector

Yeah, go to Lowes or HDepot plumbing dept, pick up a #78 o-ring for a buck, and you're golden.

When you install the fuel rail, though, smear a bit of oil on that o-ring, stick it in the fuel rail, and do the same with the rest injectors, THEN put the whole assembly in a pre-oiled manifold.

Good luck!

This is what I did and swapped the broken injectors and O-ring around to see what would happen. I wanted to see if its really the injectors or the o-ring. I started it up no leak. Hmmm... I went to work and back (52 miles), no leak. Problem solved. All it needed was a smear of oil around the rubber seals.

S2Ki FTW!
