Default ***Official Exhaust Thread***

Still getting info on the remaining systems available so stay with me

Please feel free to post you experiences and reviews/results so that I may update the information in this thread.

Note: While there is a lot of info here...I believe it is also lacking of a lot of info as well. I will be updating as often as I can.

Should be noted that all cars are different, and while one car may receive X amount of HP/TQ gains from a product...another may receive something more or even less. This is just to give those of us some insight into products currently available for the S2K, with what info we have on them so far.

All exhausts perform best when they are matched with a test pipe. Best gains are seen this way. The idea is to match with a test pipe of same size as the exhaust piping for best results, and to eliminate the chance of a bottle neck effect. However, test pipes eliminate the stock catalytic converter and are advertised as strictly off road use. Many states will write a big fine if you are found driving around without a CAT. However, that doesn't stop to many people .

Picking the right exhaust is difficult. You want to pick the system that works best towards your needs and goals for the car. There are many available piping sizing, and single or dual exhaust set ups. The most proven systems performance wise are the 70mm systems which out shine all others. Not to down grade the smaller diameter piping systems because they give great gains also. A dual system will yield a bit less more in the performance factor, but may be quieter, and in some cases look nicer then most singles. They are however heavier then single systems. Single exhaust systems will drop the most amount of weight from the car, and give you the best results. They will also be a lot louder then most duals, not to say that some duals aren't loud though.

Main materials used for exhausts are stainless steal and titanium. In terms of power there is no difference between the two. In terms of weight the titanium system are a lot lighter then the stainless. There is a draw back to these light weight titanium systems though. They tend to be more brittle, and crack/break compared to the stainless. While this is not something that happens often, probably more so in tracking conditions, it is a good thing to note or those that may be concerned. People have had titanium exhausts and run into no problems with them, also these break downs tend to happen over the span of 5+ years so its not like you'll only get to use your exhaust for a weekend or month.

Remember to choose the system that will best suit your needs.

EXHAUSTS

I have listed the typical pricing for each system. Do not let some of these prices discourage you. You can always find good deals for any of these systems.

5zigen Proracer GN+ - Discontinued
Piping is made of SUS 409 full stainless steel and the muffler is made of SUS 304 with an inconel cut-weld finish tip. Same size piping as the regular Pro Racer. This is one of the quietest single exhaust that was made. Slight angle out on the exit. Very rare system.

Sound Clip
5Zigen Pro Racer X-3
Not much information available at this time.

Air Walker - $1,350
This is a dual exhaust system. Unfortunately other then that there is no other information on this system.

Sound Clip
Amuse Dual Euro - $2,700
60mm piping into two 45mm pipes at the split. This is a full titanium dual exhaust system. There is not much information on this system at the moment, but that it is a very quiet system with some decent minimal gains in power. It weighs in at 21 lbs. Very stock looking system OEM style system. The main benefits of this is the weight savings. Also similar to stock in sound.

Sound Clip
Amuse Dual R1 - $2,750-$2,850
60mm piping into two 45mm pipes at the split. This is a full titanium exhaust system. It weighs in at 12.8 lbs which is very light for a dual system. This has shown to give decent gains of 4-6 hp. A good sounding system that stays below the legal DB levels. There should be no droning with this system. Higher results may be seen with a test pipe.

Amuse Dual Euro 70 22W - $2,900
This system is similar to that of the regular dual euro, however it uses 70mm piping then goes into two 50mm pipes at the split. It's another full titanium system and weighs in at 22.5 lbs. Like the dual euro this is another very quiet system, but with better performance gains. Similar OEM look.

Sound Clip
Amuse Euro S - $2,450
60mm piping with a 100mm tip. Single exhaust system with an OEM looking canister and tip. This is a full titanium exhaust system. There is no real information on this system other then it is very quiet. Weighs in at 13 lbs.

Sound Clip
Amuse R1000 Race - $2,500
70mm piping diameter with a 115mm tip. The exhaust uses a straight pipe integrated design with no silencer. This is the lightest Amuse exhaust weighing in at 9 lbs! I know I have listed other Amuse systems with lighter weights, but this is the lightest because it is 9 lbs as a full header back system. The other systems still need a test pipe to be complete, and will weigh a bit more. This system is very similar to that of the T1R 70RT. Expect similar results as the 70RT, and similar sound levels.

Sound Clip
Amuse R1 Titan - $2,400
60mm piping diameter with a 100mm tip. This exhaust is also made entirely of titanium. It weighs in at 8.8 lbs. Incorporates a resonator, but is louder the the Dual Euro. Good gains both in the mid range and top end with this system.

Amuse R1 Titan Non Resonated - $2,295
60mm piping with a 100mm tip. Exactly the same as the regular R1 Titan without the resonator. This system weighs in at 7.3 lbs. Should be a bit louder then the regular R1, and possible more droning due to the fact that it does not have a resonator.

Apexi GT - $600
60mm piping diameter with a 115mm tip. Single exhaust system. Full Stainless steel construction, high flowing and said to give good results in terms of performance. Very good quality build. This is said to be a fairly quiet system, but has been also said to be loud especially with a test pipe, but it does come with a removable silencer.

Apex N1 - $575
60mm piping diameter with a 90mm tip. This exhaust system has a deep tone, and again is very high quality in build for its price. Also comes with a removable silencer.

Apexi World Sport II - $650
Dual exhaust system with 100mm tips. No Information for this system at this time.

Sound Clip
ARC Dual - $1,690

60mm piping diameter with 80mm tips. This is a dual exhaust system. This is a stainless system that weighs 42 lbs. There is not much info on this system in terms of performance, but it is sure to show some decent gains. Perfect exhaust for a daily driven S as it keeps the factory like sound and reduces the low rpm resonance. Increases toque at low rpm.

ASM S-Special Type-S 60mm $1,232
60mm piping diameter. Same as the Type-T except it is a single exit system. Main benefits over the Type-T is the decreased weight. This system weighs in at 24 lbs.

Dyno
Sound Clip
ASM S-Special Type-S 70mm - $1,475
70mm piping diameter. Same design as the Type-S 60mm. Gains from 10-15hp and 10-12 tq seen through the power band with just the exhaust. Still a quiet system that weighs in at 28 lbs.

ASM Titan SPL - $2,723
70mm piping diameter. This is the exact same system as the Type-S 70mm, but made in full titanium. Expect the same gains as the Type-S 70mm. Exhaust note is slightly changed.

Asura 3" Dual - $1200
This is a full stainless steel 3" cat back exhaust system. This system weighs about 40 lbs. Perfect for any S with forced induction, but also great for an NA car. Stock looking tips and canisters, with an aggressive deep tone. This system can also be bought with AP2 style Oval tips. Also available in a single version.

Sound Clip
Blitz Realize TT - $1,035
60mm piping diameter with 100mm tips. This is a dual stainless exhaust system. No other information at this time.

Borla
No information on this system at this time.

BuddyClub Spec 3 - $525
Like the Apexi N1, it comes with a removable silencer. Sounds almost stock with it in and very aggressive when removed. Mufflers are made with SUS304 stainless steel, 1mm thick wall material is used for main pipe. 0.8mm wall stainless is used for main silencer. This combination of materials creates a super light weight system. Angled exit.

BuddyClub Dual
No information on this system at this time.

BuddyClub Spec 4 - $525
The only difference between this and the BuddyClub Spec 3 is that this system has a built in silencer.

BuddyClub Pro Spec - $525
This is also similar to the BuddyClub Spec 3, but is a dual exhaust system. No other information available at this time.

Dyno - With Test Pipe
Burk Technology UHV Exhaust
This is a dual exhaust system with 57mm stainless steel piping. This exhaust weighs in at 26lbs with dual full titanium mufflers. The flow rate of this system is the same of a single 80mm system, but is roughly 6db quieter. Sound level is similar to a single 70mm system. Dyno has shown this system be give a healthy increase throughout the entire rpm range both in HP and TQ with the addition of a test pipe.

Comptech - $1,070
I believe this system is discontinued. Very good system for a strictly street driven S. Sound levels are very low, but it does have a great tone to it. Gains are minimal at best being mainly in the mid range. Looking or more information.

70mm piping diameter. This is a dual exhaust system made out of stainless. Should show good gains being that it's a 70mm system. Great deep throaty exhaust note, but still comfortable for daily use. There is not much other information on this system at this time. Fits AP2s using AP1 exhaust hangers.

Greddy Spectrum Elite - $1,116
Dual cat back exhaust system. 70mm piping to two 60mm pipes after the split. 102mm tips with a burnt finish. 5hp peak gains seen with 10hp in some parts of the powerband. 94db at 6000rpm.

Sound Clip
Sound Clip
Greddy TI-C Single - $595
70mm piping diameter. Amazing looking system that improves power throughout the entire power band. Great mid range and peak horse power gains. No raspy sounds with this exhaust, but droning can be a bit much at lower rpms. This system weighs 23 lbs, and is made of stainless with a titanium tip.

Sound Clip
HKS - $725
This is a dual exhaust system. 60mm piping diameter. Known to be one of the best sounding systems with a deep tone. However, this system has also shown to do nothing in regards to performance, and in some instances there have been recordings of a loss in power.

Inline Pro
3" single system made of stainless steel. No resonator, and does drone quiet a bit. Mainly used for turbo cars, but can be used for an NA S for great gains also.

Invidia N1 Dual - $850
A favorite of many S2K owners. This is a very loud dual exhaust system with high droning. Great looking system that is known to make gains across the board. Made out of stainless steal. Comes with titanium tips, and 70mm piping version is available. More info to come.

Invidia N1 Single - $630
Another great system by Invidia. Loud with some drone. Great gains seen mid range and all the way to peak. An affordable favorite with owners. More info to come.

Invidia V4 - $600
This is a fairly new system. 70mm piping diameter. This is the quietest system available from Invidia. If your looking to just get a little more sound from your exhaust then this may be for you. Being 70mm this should perform well, but there is no real information other then this at this time.

Dyno and Sound Clips
J's Racing FX Titan 70RS Single - $1,545
70mm piping diameter. Single exit full titanium system with dolphin tip. Very light exhaust weighing in at around 10-12 lbs. This system is a bit louder then the other, but still utilizes a resonator to keep levels down. No drone with this system. Best results seen with test pipe. Gains upwards of 15 hp have been noted with a great jump in the curve through out the power band. Best gains with use of a test pipe.

J's Racing FX Titan 70RR Single - $1,337

Megan Drift Spec 2.5" - $335-$385
2.5" piping diameter with a 4" tip. This is a cat back exhaust system. This system is pretty loud, and is very similar to the Apexi GT system in looks, but compared with the Invidia in terms of sound. However, this exhaust has the craziest angled exit. Some members have had issues regarding the welds cracking, even issues with the exhaust breaking off at welded areas, but overall it tends to get great reviews. More information to come.

Sound Clip
Spoon N1 - $1,025
Made out of stainless steal. Great gains seen throughout the power band. A very loud exhaust when added with a test pipe. Has is deep tone and is light weight. No other information available at this time.

Spoon N1 Twin - $1,575
Spoon Dual N1 is 70mm piping from cat back to axle where it Y's off to two 60mm straight through mufflers. Mufflers connect using sleeves and springs instead of heavier flanges like the single N1. Total weight is 23lbs.

Supersprint
Looks very much like a stock AP2 system. Exhaust tips are a bit different. Comes in two versions. Regular system, and a non resonated system. The regular gives you a little bit of a deeper exhaust note over stock, but it's very good for daily use. The non resonated version is louder, and has a deeper tone. Not much other information at this time.

T1R 63 Ver. 2 - $740
63mm or 2.5" piping. This is a single cat back system. Made entirely out of SUS304 aircraft stainless. This exhaust weighs in at 23 lbs. Great mid range gains of around 5-7hp have been seen with 10-more hp from 6K to peak. The curve is increased throughout the entire power band. These results are including a test pipe installation with the exhaust system. A great sounding exhaust, but one of the more quiet systems out of the bunch.

T1R 60RT Titanium - $1,700
60mm piping with 1mm thickness. This is a single header back exhaust system. This exhaust is one of the lightest available for the S2K. Made entirely out of titanium this system weighs in at 8.4 lbs. This has been proven to show gains upwards of 10-12hp. This system does not incorporate a resonator, and being a full header back system it is loud. It does come with a T1R O2 fix to prevent the cell being thrown.

T1R 70R Ver. 3 - $950
70mm piping. This is a single cat-back exhaust system. Made entirely out of SUS304 aircraft stainless. This exhaust weighs in at 22 lbs. Great gains have been seen with this system. It's known to make 5 - more hp compared to that of the 63 Ver. 2. This is another loud system, and does come with a O2 fix and detachable test pipe. You can remove the test pipe and bolt back your stock catalytic convertor, but you won't gain similar results in performance in doing so.

Sound Clip
T1R EM 70R & 70RT - $1,100 & $1,999
This was made by T1R exclusively for Evasive Motorsports. 70mm piping diameter for best performance gains. This is one of the quietest 70mm systems on the market. The 70R is made of stainless and weighs in at 22 lbs, while the 70RT is made entirely of titanium and weighs in at 12 lbs. They both incorporate a large muffler with a dolphin tip. Gains have been seen across the entire power band reaching upwards of 10 or more hp peak. Best results with the use of a test pipe along with the system. Both systems look identical. Only difference is the material used, and the titanium gets a blue tip. This is becoming a new favorite amongst most owners due to it's sound level, and the fact that it's right up there in terms of performance with other 70mm systems.

Sound Clip
T1R 70R EM Sparrow - $1,400
Dyno
This is a 70mm exhaust system. It is a dual version of the T1R EM 70R. Like that system this one has shown amazing gains throughout the entire power band. A steady increase all the way to red line. This may be the highest performance beneficial dual system out on the market. Good thing about this system is that it has a great exhaust tone at WOT, but is very tame and great for daily use.

T1R 70RT - $1,515
70mm piping with 1mm of thickness. Another full titanium header back system. This is a header back system. Best gains out of the entire bunch. This system weighs in at 8.8 lbs! This has shown amazing gains in the mid range and continued all the way to peak. Expect gains similar to that of the 70R Ver. 3. However, unlike the 70R this system does not have a resonator, and is the loudest system you can buy. It does come with an O2 fix to eliminate the cell being thrown. May not be the best choice for most who are looking for best gains for a daily driven S, but this is the best choice for someone looking for raw power.

70mm Sound Clip
T1R 63 Sparrow & 70R Sparrow - $950 & $1,040
These are both dual exhaust systems. These system are made entirely of SUS304 aircraft stainless. The 63 Sparrow has 63mm piping, and weighs in at 28 lbs. The 70R has 70mm piping, and weighs in at 33 lbs. Both system are proven to give gains across the entire power band. The 63 Sparrow is a cat back system and has shown to make over 5 hp across the board. More if used with a test pipe. The 70R is a header back system, and has shown to make upwards of 13 hp. The 70R comes with a test pipe, which also incorporates a O2 fix to prevent the cell from being thrown. The test pipe can be removed and replaced by the stock catalytic convertor, but you will not gain similar results in performance in doing so. Both systems look the same.

Tanabe Medalion Touring
60mm piping into 50mm pipes at the split with 100mm tips. Dual full stainless steel system. This is a good system that is very suited for daily driving. Tanabe claims a 93db rating. Only a slight more drone compared to stock.

Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper - $600-$700
Same specs as the Tanabe Medalion with slight changes to the tip design.

Tanabe Medalion Concept G - $700-$800
60mm piping diameter into a two 50mm split with 100mm tips. Made out of stainless steal piping. 3 piece exhaust system, and is fairly light weight. Very little drone between 3-4K rpm. This is a very quiet system well suitable for the streets.

Sound Clip
Toda - $1,495
60mm piping diameter into two 50mm mufflers with dolphin titanium tips. This system weighs in at 28.6 lbs. Similar to other 60mm systems. Gains can be seen started from mid range and continuing to peak. Wish we had more information on this product. This is a beautiful piece.

Top Fuel Zero-1000 Dual - $1,175
This is a dual cat back exhaust system made entirely out of stainless steel. Said to be just slightly louder then the Greddy Tic Dual. No other information available at this time.

Tracy Sports Dual 60mm - $2,950 or $3,050 for Burned Ti Finish
60mm piping diameter. Full titanium construction. Same design as the 60mm dual Amuse R1 system. Would expect similar gains as well. Also available without the burned Ti finish. This should be a fairly loud system, and also light weight.

Tracy Sports Dual 70mm - $2,950 or $$3,050 for Burned Ti Finish
70mm piping diameter. Full titanium construction. Based off the Amuse systems. Not much information on this product at this time. However, should be very loud since it does not incorporate a resonator, lightweight, and should improve power mid range and show great gains at peak. Also available without burned Ti finish.

Tracy Sports Single 60mm - $2,395 or $2,445 or Burned Ti Finish
60mm piping diameter single exhaust system. Full titanium construction without the use of a resonator for weight saving purposes. Probably the least suited 60mm for the street due to the noise levels, but great gains in the mid range and decent gains up top like other 60mm systems. Also available without burned Ti finish.

Tracy Sports Single 70mm - $2,445 or $2,495 for Burned Ti Finish
70mm piping diameter single system. Full titanium construction. Loudest system out of the bunch without a resonator. Will produce the most power out of the bunch also. Great mid range, but best gains will be seen up top upwards of 15 hp like the J's Racing 70RR system.

Trust MX - $832
No information available at this time.

Tsudo N1 - $390
70mm piping diameter with two 4" tips. This is a dual exhaust system. Comes with removable silencers. To me this looks much like the Invidia Dual system. No other information available at this time. Cheap price, but I'd also worry about it being cheap quality.

Veilside Teardrop - Depends on the seller.
60mm piping diameter. Full titanium construction. Now discontinued. Weighs only 5.3 lbs!!! Probably the loudest exhaust system ever for the S2K, and rated to peak at 128db. The quality of this piece is very good, but there have been cases of cracking on cars that used them for tracking. Once a great system, but not really not suitable for every day use.

i believe the tracy weighs something like 5 or 6 or 6.something pounds very very light, also veilside made an very rare teardrop titanium exhaust which only weighed 5-6 pounds, but build quality was suppose to be bad
