Yeah its a common trick for autoXers. The front nc miata bar fits on the rear of the S without much modification. The spring rate for the bar at the wheels is like 112lb/in which is pretty soft. The stock my00 rear sway is about 290lb/in which is the stoutest rear sway of all years and same as cr rear bar. For a long time i ran with no rear bar. Basically taking spring out of the rear lets the body roll harder onto the suspension letting the tires dig into the pavement more. The functional result is much less (really no) oversteer. I went back to running some bar to help the body roll less in transitions so basically when going through a chicane like element the car will shift directions faster but without oversteering because the bar is still very soft. A lot of how the rear works depends on the front too. So adding a larger front tire like my 255 rs3s cause a ton more front grip. Therefore the issue becomes making the rear not oversteer all the time because the front grips to well. So i run 700+lb front springs and the 468lb/in front bar. That really stiffens the front such that it doesnt understeer all the time. Alignment is key to all that too. Track guys like running heavy rear bars but they like their cars to rotate or drift around corners more. My experience with oversteer in the S is the less the better because it always seems that in oversteer the car ia way past the limit and is impossible to get back in a straight line.

Yeah there is a lot of info in the racing subforum about this stuff. Truth is a lot of people like a lot of different setups. It kinda comes down to how you want the car to behave.
