New England Job Bank
Things are bad out there and I think folks should do everything they can to help out others. How about starting a job and qualifications thread on here? Maybe even pin it to the top of the page? I think one thread for jobs and another for qualifications would make sense.
Let's try to do something to help each other.

Thanks Scott for pinning this. I hope folks will feel comfortabel posting information about thier qualifications. I know you have to be careful on the internet, but a detailed description of your expertise, with a general descrioption of who you worked for in the past would probably be enough to give other people on here enough information that they would contact you by PM, etc, when they hear about an apropriate position.

Two persons I know are looking for work:
My buddy's dad is an ex-Sun employee. I believe he was a Sun server admin who did both Solaris administration work and hardware replacement on Sun hardware. He's looking for work in the greater Boston area (say Woburn, Burlingon, and routes back to NH). Got laid off within 5-10 years of his retirement.
Second is a Software QA Engineer. I do not know her experience in detail but will get details.

From what i know, it's hard to get a job if you have no experience with retail at all which i don't have

Did you ever take one of those personality tests? That may help you narrow your choices.
