So Tottenham have started negotiations with Harry Redknapp on a new contract. If he does indeed get the England job, is this just Spurs spotting an opportunity to rack up the ante and screw those idiots at the FA out of yet more millions ...

£6m pa for Capello. It beggars belief ...

Tendulkar finally gets his 100th international century in an ODI vs Bangladesh.

He had gone over a year without a century but this is further evidence that he is one of the greatest batsman cricket has seen. Posted Image

Probably the greatest. However, I almost feel there would have been poetic justice if he'd got stranded on 99 centuries, given Bradman's closing batting average of 99.94.

As Ron Atkinson might say though, a good effort from "the little fella" ... :D

It is quite remarkable, maybe never to be repeated?

Emotional afternoon beckons at Cheltenham today as Kauto Star bids to roll back the years and reclaim the Gold Cup. In possibly his last race, Kauto Star has been one of THE great steeplechasers and regardless of where money has been wagered, the hearts of all watching will want him to win.

I see that The Sun have the knives out already with their attempt to undermine him before he even gets started with their headline.

For those who haven't seen it (probably most) it reads "Bwing on the Euwos".

Bit of a surprise appointment, but let's at least give the guy a go before throwing him to the sword.

Feel sorry for Kenny but fully understand the decision by FSG. The club and the team need a certain amount of modernisation and it's comforting to see the owners do not let sentiment get in the way of decision making. Just hope they will also give managers a chance.

This way Kenny keeps his health and his royal status.

As for who is next, we need an upgrade to Kenny. Is that Rafa? Is that AVB? Thankfully Liverpool is still a 'big job' so should be some high-quality candidates. I think a EPL young gun (Martinez, Rodgers and Lambert) may be a risk too far at this stage.

Still adore the Barca team Frank Rijkaard put together Posted Image

People have short memories, it was only the Man U fans that were sad to see the fat waiter leave.

They need someone like Moyes but that is never going to happen.

Rafa fell out with Ian Ayre so I doubt el waitero grande will be back at Anfield soon whilst Ayre is on the LFC board.

Do you doubt Moyes because it is Everton or because he may be off to ManUre?

Liverpool fans would never accept Moyes and unless he started with a string of good results he would be out of the door within a year.

Do you get a manager in that can attract big names or do you hope the club name will do that. Tough to understand how Liverpool sit in the pecking order at the moment but the quality of summer transfers will soon tell us.

After a ropey first set against Gasquet, Andy is now giving us some exhibition stuff. Amazing tennis ...

Won't beat Ferrer though Shisk. Ferrer is playing so well he may take a set off Rafa.

Meant to say I enjoyed the ITV4 coverage with Jim Courier, who has some nice turns of phrase. I liked his reference to players managing their "Darth anger" ... :D
