Relocating Rear Bumper Tab

Default Relocating Rear Bumper Tab

lowering the s2k and putting it on rpf1's 17x8, 17x9 +45 all around, wrapping them in 235/45 and 255/40, Im looking looking to slam it just drop it about 1.5 to 1.75 inches i hear people are relocating the rear bumper tab.... whats the reason for it? is that something i can do myself? if not where can i get it done?

also rear that people are trimming some stuff off their rear bumpers too....

i just need to know what i should do to prepare my car for these coilovers and rims

I'll take some pics of my since my car is on jack stands. But yes you will need to do it if you don't wanna rub and all you need is a dremel tool and you can do it yourself (I did)

ya if you can please.... i am getting my fenders rolled tomorrow by SRD i don't have a dremel tool... anyone willing to help me with this fabrication?

When your at SRD have wade pull the tabs off the front fender lining and tuck it into the fender and have a slit cut where he stops the rolling on the front fenders.

Try to pay extra (or you can do it yourself) relocate rear bumper tab screw I would say 3-4 inches back from its previous spot. And the excess metal trim it off. Also trim off some of the fender from the bumper.

After all that you shouldn't rub at all.

My fronts still do a bit though I am slammed but its because the tires are hitting the inside top part of the lining/fender.

right there with ya....when i took the suspension off there was like a 6 inch rub mark through the inner part of the fender liner on each side....never even heard it rubbing

this low haha....this pic was after i raised it a little. The little flaps in front of the front wheels were about an inch off the ground

wow ya not looking to go that low with it.. maybe about 1.5 to 1.75 inches dropped

yeah, that'll be a clean drop for sure with those wheels
