ok sure bang the map sensor...but has anyone ever tried cleaning the tiny little hole it gets its reading from?
I sure did! Cleaned it out with some carb cleaner, and also cleaned the throttle plate, and wow, no more bucking, and drives and idles so much smoother

TreyDM is correct.
The low speed bucking is due to the fact the S2000 is not designed to be lugged around at low speeds - part of that is ECU mapping and part of that is due to the cam profile. The low cam is still relatively aggressive compared to more tame street cars and if you get caught in slow traffic, you can experience some cam surge.
Everyone already seems to instinctively know how to solve this - push in the clutch and feather it occasionally to dampen out the surge.

You can clean the MAP sensor if you're certain that's what it is. Likely won't hurt anything.

Go buy a can of electronics cleaner at any auto parts store. Spray the sensor a few times. That's it.

Do you have an intake? Could be heatsoak...

Happens every now and then with my FIPK after the car is hot.
